Ten Days Survey Camp at Karfok

Manmohan Technical University, School of Engineering, organized a survey camp in Ilam district at the Shree Karfok Bidhyamadir Secondary Schools area of land and building for 10 days. The survey camp had 41 students of Bachelor of Civil Engineering 3-year First Part actively participating, with faculties and staff. This survey camp is coordinated by Associate Professor Narendra Dangi from 2081/12/13 to 22.

Three Day Training Workshop on Small Hydropower.

Manmohan Technical University School of Engineering (MTUSOE) has jointly collaborated with Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) in organizing “A Three Day Training Workshop on Small Hydropower.” The inauguration was held on 6th March 2025, at MTU -hall in the presence of the DEAN of MTU SOE Prof. Dr. Prachand Man Pradhan, the Head of Departments, organizing team, trainers and the trainees. More than 25 students from different Universities and colleges from the region are participating in the training. Dr. Iswor Bajracharya (Sr. Officer NAST), Asst. Prof. Rajkumar Chaulagain (Asst. Campus Chief Thapathali Campus, IOE), Er. Roshan Pandey ( Program Chief, Small Hydropower, NAST),  Er. Niswan Dhakal (Lecturer , MTUSOE) and Er. Prashant Poudyal (NAST) are providing their valuable expertise in the training being held from 6th to 8th March 2025 at MTU.

MTU Welcomes Esteemed Partners from Berliner Hochschule für Technik (BHT) for ERASMUS+ Blended Idea Project

Manmohan Technical University, School of Engineering recently hosted a distinguished delegation from Institution of Distance Learning, Berliner Hochschule für Technik (BHT), Germany, to mark the commencement of their collaboration under the ERASMUS+ Blended Idea Project.The event, held at the university’s periphery in Budhiganga – 4, Morang, was aimed at strengthening academic and research cooperation between the two institutions. The ERASMUS+ Blended Idea Project, which focuses on fostering innovation and academic exchange, will enable both institutions to collaborate on a variety of educational and technological initiatives, enhancing the student and faculty experience through joint research, workshops, and mobility programs.The visit commenced with a formal welcome from Prof. Dr. Prachand Man Pradhan, Dean of Schol of Engineering, Manmohan Technical University, who expressed excitement over the partnership and highlighted the importance of international collaboration in advancing education and research. “This partnership is a significant step towards enhancing the educational standards of our institution and providing our teachers and staff with global exposure. We are thrilled to have our esteemed partners from BHT with us,” Professor remarked.The delegation from BHT, led by Dr. Sandra Brautigam,Study Program Coordinator , thanked Manmohan Technical University for their warm hospitality and expressed their eagerness to contribute to the success of the project. Dr. Benjamin Hoene, another representative from BHT added, “We are excited about the potential of this partnership to create new opportunities for knowledge exchange, joint research, and shared learning experiences. Together, we will achieve great things.”The event featured a series of discussions on the goals of the ERASMUS+ Programme Capacity Building Project in the field of Higher Education (CBHE) entitled ‘Blended Learning Environments for Nepal’s Dynamic Energy Development using an Interactive Distance Education Approach’. Blended Idea Project Key topics included digital learning tools, blended education, and fostering innovation in engineering disciplines. Both teams agreed on the importance of creating a seamless collaboration that will benefit students, faculty, and the academic communities of both institutions..The guest partners also had meeting with Dr. Dil Nath Fuel, the registrar of the University. The visit concluded with a networking session, allowing faculty members, staffs, and visiting partners to interact and explore avenues for further collaboration. Manmohan Technical University looks forward to the successful execution of the ERASMUS+ Blended Idea Project, with plans for continued cooperation with BHT in the coming years.

Prof. Pradhan delivered a speech on International symposium on E Q Risk Reduction in Himalaya Region

The Dean of School of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Prachand Man Pradhan was invited as a speaker at the International Symposium on "Earthquake Risk Reduction in the Himalayan Region", jointly organized by the Department of Urban Development and Building Construction (DUDBC), National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA), Kritipur Municipality, University of Bristol and National Society of Earthquake Technology Nepal (NSET). The Symposium was held at Radisson Hotel, Kathmandu on 27th and 28th of January, 2025 to mark the 27th Earthquake Safety Day. Prof. Pradhan delivered a presentation on Property Characterization on Brick, Mortar and Brick Masonry: Case study of Kathmandu, Nepal, on 28th Jan. on behalf of Manmohan Technical University. The inauguration of the program was done by Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Prakash Man Singh.

Orientation Program of BE Civil and BE Electrical New Batch 2024

Manmohan Technical University School of Engineering (MTUSoE) organized an Orientation Program for the new intake of 2081 batch on 2081-09-21 (05 Jan.2025). The program was held at the auditorium hall of Manmohan Technical University. The program was chaired by the Dean of MTUSoE, Prof. Dr. Prachand Man Pradhan. Dr. Subashshree Pokharel, Vice-Chancellor of MTU and the Chief Guest of the program inagurated the program by watering white flowers on a vase on the stage. Mr. Satya Narayan Chaudhary (Member of the Board of Trustees, MTU), Dr. Dilnath Fuel (Registrar of MTU), Mr. Bhim Prasad Kafle (Act. Controller of the Examinations) were other notable guests of the program. Er. Yubraj Chaudhary, an examination expert of MTU, presented the inaugural speech representing the examination control division. He shaded light on various challenges for the incoming students and the examination system. Mr. Satya Narayan Chaudhary talked about the foundations and background on the establishment of MTU and congratulated and wished all the incoming students the very best for the oncoming times in MTU. All the present students were welcomed by offering garland by the Act. HOD of Department of Civil Engineering, Er. Om Narayan Chaudhary, the Coordinator of Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and  Coordinator of Masters in Power Systems Program of MTUSoE, Dr. Deepranjan Dongol. Furthermore, Chief Guest, Dr. Pokharel welcomed the students and motivated them to go for the highest achievement that they aspire for and assured MTU would always share a steppingstone in that path. The formal program concluded with a vote of thanks and welcome from the Chair and Dean of SoE. The students were taken for a visit to the School, Department, and respective labs and Library by the respective HODs, Coordinators  and faculties after a brief refreshment break.

MTU Partners with EU Erasmus + Program

Manmohan Technical University, School of Engineering has successfully acquired BLENDED - IDEA EU project of Erasmus+. The partnership of Manmohan Technical University has been set up with Berliner Hochschule fur Technik (BHT), Germany. This is a first international funded project related to Renewable Energy for the duration of 2 years starting from 1-Jan-2025.

MTU participated Global Leadership Summit 2024 and Signed MOU

  Upon the invitaiton by VIT Chennai India, the Dean of School Of Engineering, MTU, Prof. Dr. Prachand Man Pradhan attended VIT TechLead, Global Leadership Summit on 8th and 9th of October 2024. The 2 days long summit was held at MG Auditorium of VIT channai where 32 delegates from 15 countries participated. The leaders from various universities discussed on advancements in technology, higher education, leadership and future trends in global management practices.            During the event, Prof. Pradhan gave a speech on "Role of Industries collaboration with Universities to cater development in future". In addition to the speech, Prof. Pradhan signed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with VIT and MOU with VIT Bhopal and VIT - AP. From the VIT side, honorable Chanceller of VIT, Dr. G. Vishwanathan signed the document.
